During the International Conference and Sumer School currently taking place in Abuja, ACCESS is proud to achieve a first important impact. The National Universities Commission (NUC) yesterday has expressed its readiness to boost programmes aimed at improving employability skills of Nigerian universities’ graduates.

As one key point the Commission was saddled with the responsibility to ensure that universities were equipped with the necessary tools, facilities, and skills to nurture employable graduates.

Journalist Felix Khanoba of the local newspaper “The Authority” wrote an article about the first conference day, among the speakers Dr. Chris Maiyaki, Executive Secretary of NUC and Prof. Dr. Utz Dornberger, ACCESS project Director, who focussed on the necessarity of African universities to create structures, that promote the employability of their graduates.
