The Leipzig University was founded in 1409 and is thus one of the oldest universities in Europe. In its 14 faculties, the university combines modernity with tradition for its approximately 31.000 students. With a total of 158 degree programs, the university offers a unique variety of subjects.
Various instances of the university are involved in ACCESS: the Faculty of Economics and Management Science, the International SEPT Program, the Institute of Information Systems, the Faculty of Sports Science, the Faculties of Physics and Earth Sciences, History, Arts and Regional Sciences, the Institute of Geography, and finally the Institute of African Studies.
