The top 3 winners of the Grand Final of the 1st PAU Innovation Challenge has been announced. Under the patronage of H.E. Prof Sarah Anyang Agbor, AUC Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (ESTI), the Grand Final of the 1st PAU Innovation Challenge (www.pau-au.africa) went on successfully. The event took place online via Zoom on 7th June from 14:00 to 17:00 EAT, due to COVID-19 restrictions. Prior to this awards ceremony, various activities have been carried on since the beginning of the Innovation Challenge on 27th April 2020.
The first-place winner is a beneficiary for the AGEA Coaching and Mentoring support. The following are the winners and their respective prizes:
1st place:
PAUWES Team: SoCool – USD 5,000
SoCool is one of the start-up projects benefiting from the Coaching and Mentoring support of the AGEA Network.
2nd place:
PAUSTI Team: DISHASILI – USD 3,000
3rd place/Audience selection:
PAUSTI Team: DISHASILI – USD 1,000
The three winners are offered three-month incubation in an adequate centre.
