The ACCESS Summer School 2023 in Kenya is over. The Mount Kenya University (MKU) successfully hosted this event for the ACCESS network and its seven partner universities. With more than 1.000 participants, the blended conference was officially opened on Monday May 22nd by MKU Vice Chancellor, Professor Deogratius Jaganyi and ended on 26th of May 2023 in Thika town.
The Summer School was hosted under the title “Beyond Classroom Experience in the Lenses of University–Industry Interaction” and included practical experience sharing, curriculum development discourse and interactive sessions among the participants, industry partners and government.
Besides the broad professional program of the Summer School, the participants were able to visit different industries where they discussed on training graduate for the industries and hence the need for a strong university business linkages. Additionally, the participants also had the opportunity to experience various tourist highlights of Kenya.
